Tonight we played against Team Dynamic in the CEVO-Professional finals. We ended up winning it again for back to back titles. Last season we faced off against Team Dynamic and won 2-1. This season we made quick work of them and won in 2 maps. We played them on de_season and de_nuke.
On de_season, we started off with massive momentum. With a 14-1 first half, we had a clear mindset that we were about to plow through the night. Dynamic responded with a comeback, but fell short with only 11 rounds in the second half. We took the first map with a 16-12 victory.
After a short break for the toilets, drinks, etc., we jumped right into the de_nuke match. Starting on CT side, we were only able to acquire 7 rounds. After handling Dynamic on our Terrorist pistol round, we were able to close out the half 9-1. The one round that we lost was in a 2v2 on their eco. The final score of de_nuke was 16-9.

What was going through your heads when you entered the 4th overtime?
Not much to be honest just to keep plugging away at the only way we knew how to play…. We knew how they sat back and really lamed hard. Its not a cool style of play and makes what should have been a really sick game to watch probably quite boring in the end.
How juiced were you when you got that 4k at banana on the second OT and how upset were you that you couldn’t complete the 5k
hahahahaha, yeah pretty “juiced” nah its like you feel the weakness when u get those first two kills… i just exploited it… i knew the guy in ct spawn was low cause i peppered him when i first got up to banana so it was just a matter of getting the guy on the site then refacing to spray the 2nd guy… after that was just do as much damage as possible.

The “submarine” strat is when a player is flashed into upper. That player drops down squeaky vent and resurfaces from the far vent with a second set of flashes. This causes the Counter-Terrorists to rotate out of position allowing for a more successful upper attack
The “random run out” strat is when no flashes are used in an upper take. Some teams opt to do counter-flash setups. Against these types of teams, running out without flashes can sometimes catch a team off guard as they are holding flashes out rather than guns. This only works on dx81 since teams are not afraid of flashes on dx95+
The “spam run out” strat is when a couple of players on Terrorist start spamming the roof into rafters. This will bait out a counter spam from the Counter-Terrorists, and it is this window of opportunity that the other three terrorists can explode into upper site versus a set of distracted CTs who are low ammo or reloading.

So here we are guys, at the final day of the CPH Games event. I know that I haven’t done much in the way of getting out blog-esque write-ups for you guys to keep up with how we’ve been doing, but I haven’t really had much time for that until now.
Looking ahead at the tournament, we felt that we had a decently difficult group considering the talent of both rasta and anexis, but it seems like karma will pay off as we have the, what seems to be, easier side of the bracket. There are a lot of predicted top3/5 teams in the upper portion of the bracket that will undoubtedly get knocked out in an upsetting fashion. I really feel sorry for those teams, which include: mTw, roccat, mousesports, VeryGames, TargetDown, and Shark Gaming. Even if some of you do not agree with me about the last two teams on that list, nobody can really refute me on the first four.
We are really excited to get started to our day. We had a blast in the group stages and really felt we pulled together as a team. I tried to hide as much as I could so that teams that like to stand behind us with video cameras / notepads could not leverage themselves a strategical advantage against us. I believe that this trade-off to hide some of my tactics is worth losing a few extra rounds here and there in group play but not worth it enough to lose our seeding. I hope that this can be our major change that we needed from ESWC which inevitably led to our 3rd place finish.
A tip of my hat goes to rasta gaming who took a map off of us and provided a decent fight on de_tuscan. It really goes to show their skill as a team and I hope it rightfully secures a “top 5 UK” title in many peoples’ views. A wag of my finger to Tt. Dragons for being ruthless when bringing in their comps. It really killed our momentum in our first de_train match vs rasta when they unplugged our ethernet cords and power.
I’ll try to release a vlog about our living conditions as it really is quite comical. We’ve made the local trainstation’s McDonalds our staple “go-to” place for breakfast and for bed. I feel like my heart is really struggling, but I did get to do a nice 1km jog to the hotel yesterday from the venue to keep myself alive. Combine that with a few pre-game pushups and I’ll have the blood flowing for game time.
Copenhagen as a city is very nice and seemingly quiet. I haven’t been to the area since DSRack in 2010 but nothing much has changed; everyone is still fit as hell riding bikes everywhere, food is still ridiculously expensive, and the weather is cold. Oh so cold. Well, not that cold. But relatively speaking! There is an easy 15-20 celcius difference between Copenhagen and Toronto right now.
We are renting some laptops from XMG, and they are simply the best laptops that I have ever used. I’m getting 400+ constant fps in CSS with 1280×720 on the BenQ with high graphics and 8x AA and AF. They are also partnered with some crossfire tournament which is being held. The tournament has several qualifier mini-tournaments that grant the winners BYE rounds into the main tournament as well as some other prizes. I won myself a roccat keyboard for winning a qualifier tournament, and I’m looking to win the iPad3 at the main tournament which is being held later tonight!
Much appreciation to our supporters and followers. As well as those who donated to us, and of course my father. We are going for the gold.
